ABOUT
Blending local and British cafe culture, and giving modern twists to great classic comfort foods from around the world, KEONG SAIK SNACKS is the new go-to social bistro that is part brainchild of Michelin Star Chef Jason Atherton with an unpretentious environment, and serving familiar yet new, clever food options.
With warm and textured materials such as copper, wood and rusted mesh, the craftsmanship of KEONG SAIK SNACKS is aimed to be homogenous in the same way that the meals are crafted by the chefs; with much detail, texture and warmth.
KEONG SAIK SNACKS features a main bar with an open kitchen that has been carefully shaped with layers of copper that have been clad onto its surface and riveted together, boasting an industrial-chic vibe. Riding on the concept of a cosy space, the welded and bent bar and double stools are custom-designed to create a social go-to for people to mingle and hang out.
Approximately sized at 400 square feet, KEONG SAIK SNACKS is designed by MAKEMEI, their first restaurant/bar project in Singapore and boasts a design notion of a cosy open-concept kitchen with a day-and-night dining option.
JASON ATHERTON — CULINARY DIRECTOR

Jason Atherton was the first British chef to complete a stage at Spain's famous el Bulli restaurant in 1998. This invaluable experience laid the foundation for his unique creative style and fuelled his insatiable thirst for culinary knowledge. In 2010, Jason launched his own restaurant company, Jason Atherton Ltd. His flagship restaurant, Pollen Street Social, opened in April 2011 in Mayfair with 60 seats, a large bar area, an exciting private room and London's first ever dessert bar. Within six months, Pollen Street Social was awarded a coveted Michelin star by the 2012 Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland. In addition, the restaurant came second at the National Restaurant Awards, competing for the title of the UK's Best Restaurant, and has been ranked at number sixth in The Good Food Guide's Top 50 Restaurants 2012.
ANDREW WALSH — EXECUTIVE CHEF

Andrew, of Irish descent, brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous stints spanning three continents – Australia, America and United Kingdom. Some of the Michelin-starred restaurants he worked at were PUBLIC in New York and Tom Aikens in London before he joined Jason Atherton at Pollen Street Social in London. Following the successful launch of Esquina in December 2011, Andrew will also now oversee KEONG SAIK SNACKS as he brings a cosmopolitan, contemporary twist to gourmet comfort food.
